Kingston Wildcats knows how important it is for everyone to be involved in sport and how we want to improve the quality of the basketball played at the grassroots level. For many, it’s difficult to get involved in club basketball due to commitments, or fears about how good they are in relation to those in the club.
For this reason, we run community sessions in conjunction with Chessington Sports Centre to allow anyone interested in learning and playing basketball a chance to get involved without the pressure of full commitment. The sessions are run by Kingston Wildcats coaches, who teach fundamental skills and understanding that can be expected to be seen with in the club.
Community Development Sessions
There are two sessions being offered on Saturdays that specifically designed for new starters in basketball or for those who don’t want to commit to team training. Each session is for 1-hour in length and costs £3 per session, which needs to be paid at the main desk at the Chessington Sports Centre reception.
The sessions are split by age range and the times are as follows:
For players 12 years old and under – 1.30 pm – 2.30 pm
For players 13 to 16 years old – 2.30 pm – 3.30 pm
The community sessions take place at Chessington Sports Centre.
